2428866 - 1020A20 crank case oil sump - r + r clean seals for sealant application

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Proceed with removal  - 1048A10  air cleaner filtering element - replace . Proceed with removal  - 1072C44  exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r . Proceed with removal  - 1072C16  exhaust manifold with catalytic converter - r r . Proceed with removal  - 7055B66  Engine compartment DUST SHIELD protection in right front wheel arch - R.R. . Proceed with removal  - 2110A60  manual gearbox/engine coupling bracket - r+r . 1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the bracket (1b) supporting the exhaust manifold mount with catalytic converter.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the flywhell protection (2b). 1. Undo the engine oil drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container.

Do not disperse the oil into the environment, as indiscriminate dispersal of this product causes pollution.

2. Undo the nuts (2a) and the bolts (2b) fixing the crankcase sump.3. Use the tool to cut the crankcase sump sealant.

4. Remove the crankcase sump. Refitting ( Removing ) Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces of crankcase sump and cylinder block of sealant residues.Apply silicon sealant around the edge of the crankcase sump.Refit the crankcase sumpTighten the nuts and bolts securing the crankcase oil sump to the recommended torque.

Tighten the engine oil drain plug to the specified torque.

Place the flywheel protection back in its housing and fix it using the bolts.Refit the exhaust manifold mounting bracket with catalytic converter and secure by tightening the bolt to the specified torque.

Proceed with refitting  - 2110A60  manual gearbox/engine coupling bracket - r+r . Proceed with refitting  - 7055B66  Engine compartment DUST SHIELD protection in right front wheel arch - R.R. . Proceed with refitting  - 1072C16  exhaust manifold with catalytic converter - r r . Proceed with refitting  - 1072C44  exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r . Proceed with refitting  - 1048A10  air cleaner filtering element - replace . Refill the engine oil lubrication system  - 0010T11  engine oil check level and top up . Remove the car from the ramps.
