2427661 - ADDITIONAL OPERATIONS

Notify the Customer that to ensure the smooth running of the vehicle, in addition to observing the intervals indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme and the Annual Inspection Plan, they should also follow the recommendations given below as well as the instructions in the Owner's Handbook.

Every 1000 km or before long journeys, check and, if necessary, top up:

  • engine coolant level
  • brake fluid level
  • windscreen washer fluid level
  • tyre inflation pressure and condition

Every 3000 km check and if necessary top up:

  • engine oil level

Every 5000 km (diesel versions only):

  • bleed the condensation water from the fuel filter.
Olio motore

It is advisable to change the engine oil more frequently than stated in the Routine Maintenance Plan if the vehicle is used predominantly in one of the following conditions:

  • towing a trailer or caravan
  • dusty roads
  • short (less than 7-8 km) and frequent journeys at sub-zero temperatures
  • engine often idling or vehicle driven for long distances at low speed (e.g. taxi service or door-to-door deliveries or long periods of inactivity).

Air filter

  • If the vehicle is used on dusty roads, replace the air filter more often than indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme.

Pollen filter

  • If the vehicle is used frequently in a dusty or very polluted area, the filter element should be replaced more often; in particular, it should be replaced if a deterioration in the efficiency of the climate control system is noticed.

Battery

  • It is advisable to check the battery charge, preferably at the start of the cold season, to prevent the electrolyte from freezing.
This check should be carried out more frequently if the vehicle is mainly used for short journeys or if it is equipped with consumers which permanently absorb power when the ignition is switched off, especially if they have been fitted in the after market. If the vehicle is used in hot climates or particulary harsh conditions, the battery fluid (electrolyte) level should be checked more frequently than stated in the Planned Maintenance Programme.
