Functional description

The earths on the vehicle are divided according to the various wiring they belong to.

Radiator wiring:

• battery earth, C01 A

Front wiring:

• left front earth, C10
• ABS front earth (at left corner), C12
• electric steering front earth, C14
• earth on tunnel, C38

Dashboard wiring:

• passenger dashboard earth, C20 A, C20 B
• Air Bag system earth, C50

Rear wiring:

• passenger dashboard earth, C20 C, C20 D
• left rear earth, C30
• right rear earth, C31
• earth for amplifier, C056

Battery negative wiring:

• battery earth on engine (on gearbox), C02
• battery earth on bodyshell, C03

Engine wiring:

• battery earth, C01 A (JTD engine only)
• earth on engine, C40 (petrol engine only)
• injection control unit earth, C60 (JTD engine only)
• compressor earth, C39

Air conditioning wiring:

• air conditioning unit earth (on right side of dashboard), C16
