Functional description

The 'boot opening request' signal is sent by switch I33 located in the handle to pin 35 of connector E of Body Computer M1. The aerial-receivier P93 sends the Body Computer M1 the signal to open/close the doors and also windows and sunroof, by connecting to pins 21 and 31 of connector B  See E3040  CENTRAL LOCKING . The Body Computer M1 implements the boot release function in accordance with the control strategy described - pin 11 of connector F via the line supplied by fuse F38 of the underfacia junction unit B2, pin 18 of connector D - to control operation of boot catch motor N57. The boot release function, inside the Body Computer M1 pin 1 of connector F also has a dedicated earth connection: pin 20 of connector F.
