Functional description

The centralised EOBD tester connector is built into Body Computer M1 connector C. it is supplied directly at pin 16 from a line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia control unit B2; Pins 4 and 5 are earthed. Pin 1 is connected by line K to the ABS control unit M50 (pin 6) See E7020 ABS , See E7023 ESP ] Pin 3 is connected by line K to the Air Bag control unit M60 (pin 7 of connector A) See E7030  AIRBAG Pin 7 is connected to the engine management control unit M10 See E5030  PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT via a K line or  See E5050  DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT .

Functional description

Pin 9 is connected to the power steering control unit M86 (pin 4 of connector B) See E7045 ELECTRIC STEERING . Pin 13 is connected to the parking sensor control unit M84 (pin 20) See E3090 PARKING SENSOR . Pins 6 and 14 are connected to the B-CAN network: the junction unit under the dashboard B2, the instrument panel E50, the driver's side door control unit M66, the passenger side door control unit M67, the radio P20 and the climate control system ECU M70 and the controls on the steering wheel D47 See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES are monitored and 'diagnosed' via this network.
