Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Open the access flap to the fuel filler pipe cap.2. Remove pin (2a) and disconnect safety cable (2b) from the body.3. Undo and remove the fuel filler pipe cap. If necessary, replace the key barrel as described below.

It is not possible to order a single lock barrel or to order barrels simply by using a part code. When ordering barrels, observe the special procedure set out in 5580E - Special accessories.

1. Release the body of plug (1a) from retainers (1b).2. Break tab (2a) and remove clip (2b) retaining barrel (2c).3. Inset vehicle key (3a) in barrel (2c) and remove the barrel. Refitting ( Removing ) If removed previously, fit a lock barrel as described below.1. Use a new cap (1a).2. Insert the vehicle key (2a) into the barrel (2b). Insert lock barrel (2b), ensuring seat (2c) engages in the internal retaining clip.Check the cap and lock are working properly. Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing.Connect the safety lead to the body and secure it with its pin.Clean the fuel filler cap access flap.
