3237418 - 0010T71 power steering fluid check level and top up if necessary

1. Check that the power assisted steering fluid level is up to the upper notch (max. level) on the dipstick built into the reservoir cap.
Power steering fluid level should be checked with the vehicle on a flat surface and the engine switched off and cold.
If the oil level is lower than MAX, top up with the specified fluid.

The table shows the total quantity of fluid in the power steering circuit.
Start the engine and wait for the level in the reservoir to stabilise. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel fully to the right and left several times. Top up until the fluid level is at MAX, then refit the cap.
Prevent the power steering fluid coming into contact with hot parts of the engine: it is inflammable.
Fluid consumption is very low; if another top-up is required after a short time, check the system for leaks.
