3239269 - E2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS - Functional description ( Xenon Gas headlamps)

Functional description

The circuit for the dipped beam headlamps is operated by the steering column switch unit H5 . By placing the switch in the dipped beam position, the line which supplies the headlamps F10 (left) and F11 (right) is supplied controlled by the ignition. The signal is sent to the headlamp internal electronic circuit,w hich manages activation of the bulb. Each circuit is protected by a fuse for the junction unit B1 : F5 for the left headlamp and F4 for the right one. The supply passes throught the headlamps maintenance relay/remote control switch J45 which only interrupts this supply during starting (AVV signal from the starter motor). The supply line for the left lamp also acts as an enablement signal for the rear fog lamps (check device inside the rev counter module E15 )  See E2031  REAR FOG LAMPS
