3239348 - E3051 ELECTRIC REAR WINDOWS - Functional description
Functional description
The optional services relay
J60
controls the circuit for
the rear electric windows (as well as the sun roof and heated seats:
see
See E3060 SUN ROOF
and
See E3075 HEATED SEATS
). .
The coil of the relay
J60
is energized
when the ignition is switched on (INT/A) by the line for fuse
B10
up
to 2/99 or fuse
F6
of the additional fuse box
B98B
from
2/99, while the supply at the relay contact arrives from the battery, through
the line for maxifuse
J/B2
(of
B5
up to 2/99 or
B99
from
2/99).
This supply passes through the rear electric
window fuses
B17
and
B18
up to 2/99 or
F2
and
F3
of
B98B
from 2/99, which guarantee the protection of the circuit,
and arrives at the switches on the driver's door (
H45
left
and
H46
right). The supply of the switches is therefore controlled
by the ignition (INT/A) and they are connected to earth
C20
(in
this way they are also lit up when the ignition is switched on).
When these switches are operated, they send
command signals (positive and negative) to the switches in the rear
doors and from there to the (left)
N65
and right
N66
motors:
reversing the signals according to the contact which is closed determines
the direction of rotation of the actual motor.
The same supply controlled by the ignition
(INT/A) also reaches the switches in the rear doors
H53
and
H54
,
passing through the safety switch H55, but only if it is in the
go ahead position. If this is not the case, the supply to the rear
door switches is immediately stopped.
Similar to the front switches, when the
rear switches are activated, they send command signals (positive
and negative) to the (left)
N65
and (right)
N66
motors:
reversing the signals according to the contact which has been closed, determines
the direction of rotation of the actual motor.
