The two electronics inside the headlamps
F10A
(left)
and
F11A
(right) are supplied - pin 6 - by the line controlled
by the ignition (INT) protected by fuse
F4
of the additional
fuse box
B98B
; pin 14 of
F10A
and
F11A
are
earthed.
Pin 8 of
F10A
and
F11A
are
connected to one another (serial communication line between MASTER
and SLAVE), whilst pin 13 of the control unit located in headlamp
F10A
receives
the speedometer signal from instrument
E10
.
Headlamp
F10A
incorporates the headlamp
alignment function: the two sensors (potentiometers) that record
ride at the front
K1
and the rear
K2
are connected:
a supply and reference earth are sent from pins 9 and 10 of
F10A
: the
signals proportional to the load return to pins 11 and 12; according
to these signals the headlamp electronics automatically adjust the
light beam by means of a special motor. The left headlamp motor
is adjusted directly, whilst the right one is adjusted via the serial
line between
F10A
and
F11A
.
The dipped headlamps control signal reaches
F10A
and
F11A
at pin 1
See E2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS
.
The diagnostic line for connector
R10,
pin 12, leaves pin 7 of F10A and F11A.
