Position the vehicle on the ramp.Check that the tyre treads are not unevenly worn.Some types of tyres are fitted with wear indicators; they have to be replaced as soon as these indicators become visible.
Do not cross-interchange the tyres.
Check that the tyre pressures are correct, including the spare tyre.
The tyre pressures should be checked on cold tyres.
Earth the front brake pad wear indicator cable.Turn the ignition on (MAR).Press the brake pedal and check that the front brake pad wear warning light comes on.Visually check the state of wear of the rear brake pads.Raise the vehicle and check that the rubber gaiters on the driveshafts and arms for the power assisted steering do not have signs of abrasions or breaks.Check that there are no leaks from the brake and fuel pipes/connectors.

Visually check:

  • rubber elements.
