Description

The check module in the centre, behind the steering wheel, includes: the check device for the doors and boot and a series of warning lights.The doors check device detects if one of the doors or boot is open and lights up the LED and the ideogram of the whole car. In addition, all the LEDs come on for about 4 seconds when the ignition is switched ON to check that they are working properly, and then they go out.

The following warning lights are contained in this module:

• "Air Bag failure"
• "ABS failure"
• "insufficient brake fluid level" and "handbrake applied"
• "CODE failure"

The insufficient brake fluid level and the handbrake applied warning light comes on, upon a command from the ABS control unit., together with the ABS failure warning light, to indicate a fault in the EBD braking system.If, on the other hand, it comes on by itself, the brake fluid level is low or the handbrake is on.The operation of the warning lights which are not included in other functions is illustrated; the others are described and illustrated in the diagrams relating to the components to which they refer.The check instrument operates when the ignition is switched ON.
