3238138 - 4130B36 supply pipe from fluid resevior to power steering pump inlet pipe r r

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Drain the power steering fluid from the reservoir using a suitable syringe. Proceed with removal  - 4450B12  front or rear wheels (two) - r+r . Proceed with removal  - 7055B64  Engine compartment DUST shield in front wheel arch (one), left or right - R.R. . Proceed with removal  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . Proceed with removal  - 1076B52  exhaust pipe (one) leaving l/h or r/h exhaust manifold - r + r . 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the heat shield from the power steering box (1b).
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and raise the power steering fluid reservoir (1b) as much as necessary.2. Loosen the band (2a) and disconnect the rubber supply hose from the fluid reservoir to the power assisted steering pump rigid inlet pipe (2b), reservoir side.
1. Undo the bolts securing the power steering box to the front suspension crossmember.
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the plate (1b) securing the power steering pipes.
Move the power steering box as much as necessary and undo the nut securing the rigid section of the delivery hose from the fluid reservoir to the fluid reservoir to the rigid inlet pipe for the power steering pump to the power steering box.1. Working from the wheelarch, disconnect the rubber supply hose from fluid reservoir to power steering rigid pipe, power steering pump inlet pipe side.
1. Release the rubber delivery hose from the fluid reservoir to the rigid inlet pipe to the power steering pump from the fastenings on the power steering box and remove.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the rubber supply pipe from fluid reservoir to power steering rigid inlet pipe back in its seating and secure to the power steering box using the fastenings. Working from the wheelarch, connect the rubber supply pipe from fluid reservoir to power steering rigid inlet pipe, power steering pump rigid inlet pipe side. Tighten the nut securing the rigid section of the rubber delivery hose from the fluid reservoir to the rigid inlet pipe for the power steering pump to the power steering box, then refit the power steering box in its seat Refit the plate securing the power steering pipe and secure with the bolt.1. Tighten the bolts securing the power steering box to the front suspension crossmember to the specified torque.
