The bundle of Air Bag cables is easily recognizable since it is covered by a yellow sheath.
Removing ( Refitting )  - 7040A65  passenger compartment box lock , one , r r - 7040G24  switch for facia compartment light - r+r - 7040G20  facia compartment light bulb holder - r+r - 7040A31  flap assembly - r rPosition the steering wheel in centred position with straight wheels. - 5580C18  air bag module - r+rObserve the safety regulations concerning this operation very cautiously. - 4110A11  steering wheel - r+r for replacement or check for versions with air bag - 7040A26  steering column trim - r+r - 5580C12  clock spring for air bag module on steering wheel r r1. Disconnect the Air Bag power unit connection.2. Disconnect the connections from the pretensioner cables.3. Disconnect the ground ring.
Operating from the glove compartment disconnect the connection from the dashboard cables. Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the cables are not damaged and that the single conductors are correctly fixed to the connections.Check that the connections are provided with secondary lock.If necessary, perform continuity checks.Replace the cables and connect the electric connections. - 5580C12  clock spring for air bag module on steering wheel r r - 7040A26  steering column trim - r+r - 4110A11  steering wheel - r+r for replacement or check for versions with air bag - 5580C18  air bag module - r+r - 7040A31  flap assembly - r r - 7040G20  facia compartment light bulb holder - r+r - 7040G24  switch for facia compartment light - r+r - 7040A65  passenger compartment box lock , one , r rConnect the battery.Check the functionality of the Air Bag system using Examiner or another diagnosis instrument.Check the functionality of the other involved components.
