Description

The car is equipped with extra bright tail-lights (rear fog lamps) located in the centre (on the boot) of the tail-light unit for use in cases of poor visibility. The rear foglamps are activated by a button on the central console between the seats; A special symbol is lit up when the side lights are on.A warning light in the panel (rev counter module) signals that the rear fog lamps have been switched on.The rear foglamps are enabled when the dipped beams are on, or when the fog lamps are on.This control logic is managed by the check device located inside the rev counter module. The correct operation of the rear fog lamps is controlled by the same check device as for the exterior lights, located inside the rev counter module.

The following faults may occur:

  • blown bulb
  • bulb s.c. to earth or positive
  • incorrect bulb (5W bulb instead of 21W)
A special failure warning light, also in the rev counter module, comes on for all other faults in the various circuits. This warning light comes on for about 4 seconds when the ignition key is turned to MAR, to indicate it is working properly, then it goes off.The rear fog lamps circuit is protected by two fuses for the lights monitored by the check system, one for the lights on the right hand side, the other for those on the left.
