3239082 - 1084b18 engine oil pump, removed - check at bench

Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Unscrew plug (1a) and remove engine oil 5pressure limiting pump (1b).2. Unscrew screws (2a) and remove oil pump cover (2b).3. Remove driving gear.4. Remove driven gear.Remove crankshaft front oil seal. Refitting ( Removing ) Check radial slack between pump body and driven gear is within the prescribed values, otherwise replace oil pump assembly.

Check slack between pump cover face and gear upper side is within the prescribed values, otherwise replace oil pump assembly.

Check height of spring for engine oil pressure limiting valve is within the prescribed values, otherwise replace spring.

1. Fit a new crankshaft front oil seal (1a) by using tool (1b).

Fit driven gear.Fit driving gear.Fit oil pump cover and fix it with its screws.

Rotate gears by hand so as there are no seizure.

Fit engine oil pressure limiting valve and tighten its plug.
