Raise the car.1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the air conditioner compressor electromagnet.

Lower the vehicle. - 1016A42 left hand cylinder head ignition coil cover - r+r - 1072B50 sleeves connecting air capacity box to inlet manifold is - r+r1. Disconnect the electrical connections from the right cylinder head ignition coils.

1. Disconnect the electrical connections from the left cylinder head ignition coils.

1. Disconnect the electrical connections from the injectors, then move the wiring to the side.

1. Undo nut (1a) and disconnect earth lead (1b) from the left cylinder head.

2. Connect electrical connections (2a) and (2b).

1. Unscrew bolts (1a) and move connector bracket (1b).2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the detonation sensor.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection for the rpm and timing sensor.

4. Disconnect the electrical connection for the cam angle sensor.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the air flow meter.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the combined sender unit for the coolant temperature gauge and overheating warning light.

2. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Disconnect the electrical connection for the Lambda sensor and release the wiring from the bands.

- 1008C10 power unit upper reaction link r r1. Working from the passenger compartment, undo the bolts (1a) and remove the injection-ignition guard (1b).

1. Disconnect the electrical connections from the injection-ignition electronic control unit.

Follow the disconnection order: D - E - F - C - B - A.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the fuel vapour cut-out solenoid valve from the filter.

1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove the right windscreen base trim (1b) after disconnecting from the washer spray pipe.

1. Undo bolts (1a) securing wiring (1b) to the engine bay bulkhead, then remove.

Refitting ( Removing

) Replace the system wiring loom and pull through the hole in the engine bulkhead, then secure using the bolts.Connect the windscreen base trim to the windscreen washer spray pipe, then fit and secure using the bolts.Connect the electrical connection to the fuel vapour cut-out solenoid valve.Connect the electrical connections to the injection-ignition control unit.

Follow the connection order: A - B - C - F - E - D.

Fit the injection-ignition control unit protection and bolt in place. - 1008C10 power unit upper reaction link r rConnect the electrical connection for the Lambda sensor and fix the electrical wiring to the retaining collars.Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor.Connect the electrical connection to the combined sender unit for the coolant temperature gauge and overheating warning light.Connect the electrical connection to the air flow meter.Connect the electrical connection for the cam angle sensor.Connect the electrical connection for the rpm and timing sensor.Connect the electrical connection for the detonation sensor.Place the connector bracket back in its housing and fix it using the bolts.Connect the front engine junction electrical connections.Connect the earth lead to the left cylinder head and secure using the nut.Replace the wiring, then connect the electrical connections to the injectors.Connect the electrical connections to the ignition coils. - 1072B50 sleeves connecting air capacity box to inlet manifold is - r+r - 1016A42 left hand cylinder head ignition coil cover - r+rRaise the car.Connect the electical connection for the air conditioning compressor electromagnet.Lower the vehicle.Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
