Undo the bolts and remove the alternator. Undo the drain plug and drain the engine oil.

Collect the engine oil in a suitable container.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the crankcase sump to the gearbox.2. Undo the front and rear bolts (2a) for the crankcase sump using the spanner (2b).

3. Undo the side bolts (3a) for the crankcase sump using the spanner (3b).

4. Position a hydraulic jack under the crankcase sump.5. Remove the crankcase sump after having removed the sealant. Refitting ( Removing ) Clean any residues of sealant from the crankcase sump contact surfaces.Apply the recommended sealant to the entire perimeter of the crankcase sump.

1. Fit the crankcase sump using a hydraulic jack to support it.2. Tighten the side bolts (2a) for the crankcase sump to the recommended torque using the spanner (2b).

3. Tighten the front and rear bolts (3a) for the crankcase sump to the recommended torque using the spanner (3b).

4. Tighten the bolts fixing the crankcase sump to the gearbox. Clean the crankcase sump drain plug and tighten it with the seal to the recommended torque.

For the optimum operation of the engine in particularly harsh climatic conditions (temperatures below -15 degrees C), use the recommended oil for the engine lubrication circuit.Refill the engine lubrication circuit using the recommended oil.
