3237935 - 2125C70 gearbox/brake lever mount - r r

Position the vehicle on the ramp. - 5530B10  battery - r+r .  - 5530B52  Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R. . 1. Disconnect the gear selector/engagement cables.2. Undo the nuts (2a) and release the bracket (2b) complete with gear selector/engagement cables. 1. Remove the gear lever boot.2. Remove the handbrake boot.3. Lift up the handbrake lever (3a) and loosen the nut (3b) tensioning the handbrake cables. Proceed with removal  - 1076B50  exhaust pipe attachment to engine - r + r . Proceed with removal  - 1076B18  rigid section of exhaust pipe between catalytic converter and silencer - r + r . 1. Disconnect the intermediate exhaust silencer (1b) from the flexible support (1a). 1. Remove the retainer (1a) and disconnect the handbrake cables (1b). 1. Position a hydraulic jack under the gear lever and handbrake lever support.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and the nuts (2b) fixing the gear lever and handbrake lever support to the bodyshell.3. Lower the hydraulic jack as far as necessary and unscew nut (3a) of gear selection/engagement cable support plate (3b). 1. Competely lower the hydraulic jack and remove the support for the gear lever and handbrake lever. 1. Remove the safety plates (1a) and remove the gear selector/engagement cable mounting brackets (1b). 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the gear lever support (1b), complete with gear selector/engagement cables (1c). 1. Remove the safety plates (1a) and the circlip (1b), then disconnect and remove the gear selector/engagement cables (1c). Refitting ( Removing ) Connect the gear selector/engagement cables and fix them using the circlip and the safety plates.Fit the gear lever support, complete with gear selector/engagment cables and fix them using the nuts.Fit the gear selector/engagement mounting brackets and fix them using the nuts.Fit the gear selector/engagement mounting brackets and fix them using the safety plates.Fit the gear lever and handbrake lever support assembly using the hydraulic jack.Refit the gear selector/engagement cables mount plate and secure it the appropriate nut.Tighten the bolts and nuts securing the gearlever and handbrake lever mount to the body.Remove the hydraulic jack from underneath the gear lever and handbrake lever support.Connect the handbrake cables and secure them using the retainer. Connect the intermediate exhaust silencer to the flexible mount. Proceed with refitting  - 1076B30  front exhaust silencer - r + r . Proceed with refitting  - 1076B18  rigid section of exhaust pipe between catalytic converter and silencer - r + r .  - 3380A04  handbrake - check travel . Refit the handbrake boot.Fit the gear lever boot.Refit the bracket complete with gear engagement/selection cables and secure it. - 5530B52  Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R. .  - 5530B10  battery - r+r . Remove the car from the ramps.
