Removing ( Refitting ) Disconnect the battery negative terminal.1. Open the supply box protective cover.2. Release the clip and undo the box retaining bolts.3. Loosen the battery positive terminal nut.

4. Raise the supply box.
1. Undo the nut and release the battery retaining strap.2. Remove the battery.
Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the battery is intact and shows no signs of damage. Also check that the terminals are not contaminated or oxidised.Position the battery in its seat.Fit the retaining strap and tighten the nut.Position the supply box in its seat.Tighten the battery positive terminal nut.Tighten the retaining bolts and do up the clip.Close the protective cover and connect the battery negative terminal.Test the electrical system. Removing ( Refitting ) Proceed with removal  - 1016A10  sound-proofing cover - r + r . Loosen the band and disconnect the air supply hose from the heat exchanger to the inlet manifold, connector side on the throttle body.1. Ensure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal (-).

2. Open the cover of the 'maxi-fuse' box.
1. Undo the nuts (1a) and disconnect the electrical connections (1b).2. Disconnect the rear electrical connections from the maxi fuse box.3. Undo the nut (3a) for the battery retaining belt (3b).
1. Remove the battery assembly.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the battery assembly in its housing.Secure the battery with its belt and tighten the nut.Connect the rear electrical connections to the maxi fuse box.Connection the electrical connections and fasten them using the nuts.Close the maxi fuse box cover.Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Connect the air supply hose from the heat exchanger to the inlet manifold, throttle body connector side, and tighten the band. Proceed with refitting  - 1016A10  sound-proofing cover - r + r .
