3239216 - Introduction - SUSPENSION AND WHEELS
Quadrilateral front suspension, i.e. consisting of two superimposed triangles. In this configuration the shock absorber and the spring are flexible, damping elements which have no structural function. The rear suspension is the MacPherson type, indepedent with longitudinal track control arms. This type of suspension has the advantage of reduced dimensions allowing the adoption of a particularly low load carrying area. The combination of the two suspensions allows the following strong points:
- precision and gradual steering and steering wheel force
- prompt responsiveness
- high degree of stability and ease of control even in poor grip conditions
- very smooth and balanced movements
- very good comfort for a sports car.
