REEL WITH PRETENSIONER AND LOAD LIMITER

The front seat belt reels are fitted with electrically-activated pretensioners controlled by the air bag control unit    Characteristic of working principle 5580C AIR BAG SYSTEM, with a load limiting device. This device was introduced to increase passive safety and consists of a torsion bar that allows controlled yield during the restraining action in order to modulate the force acting on the shoulders.

REAR CENTRAL SEAT BELT REEL

The rear central seat belt reel is located inside the squab anchored to the squab structure. To ensure effective operation in safe conditions, the reel is connected via a bowden cable to the squab catch release lever. The belt is free to slide and allow fastening only when the lever is properly closed.A second Bowden cable, also connected to the release lever, locks the backrest by means of a pin which prevents it folding over. The lever is used to release the backrest joint and consequently lock the reel.General view
