Removing ( Refitting ) Open the bonnet lid.1. Release the retainers (1a) and remove the cover (1b).2. Disconnect the electrical connections.

3. Open the wiring retaining duct.4. Move the earth wiring away from the duct.
1. Release the control unit (1a) from the two side retainers (1b).
1. Lift up the control unit slightly and disconnect the only electrical connection shown.

1Engine compartment junction unit See B1E ENGINE COMPARTMENT JUNCTION UNIT ( CONNECTORS )
1. Move the control unit.2. Remove the seal.3. Release the wiring from the control unit container.
1. Undo the nuts fixing the fan motor protection.2. Remove the protection.3. Release the safety retainer and disconnect the electrical connection.

4. Disconnect the electrical connections for the resistor.

4Engine fan adjustment resistor See O10 ENGINE FAN ADJUSTMENT RESISTOR - 1
5. Disconnect the wiring from the retaining bands.6. Recover the wiring.
Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the fan is not damaged and that the individual wires are firmly attached to the connections.Check that the connections are fitted with the anti-slip devices (secondary lock).If necessary, check the continuity.Reposition the fan wiring and secure it to the retaining bands.Connect the electrical connections and the safety retainer.Position the fan motor protection and secure it using the nuts.Insert the wiring in the control unit container.Fit the seal.Connect the electrical connectionPosition the control unit and attach it to the side retainers.Position the earth wiring in the duct and closed it.Connect the electrical connectionClose the cover and attach the retainers.Check that the fan electrical system and the components involved are correctly fitted and working properly.
