Removing ( Refitting )

• Position the vehicle on a lift.
• Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the battery terminal (-).

• Remove the trim on the tunnel cover.
•     Op. 7065C42 ASHTRAY (ONE) R+R
•     Op. 7040L37 GEAR LEVER PLATE - R R
•     Op. 2127A12 HAND LEVER OF MANUAL GEARBOX WITH HYDRAULIC SELECTION - R R
• Release the handbrake boot and remove it.

• Lift up the handbrake lever (1a) and undo the handbrake cables tensioning nut (1b).
• Disconnect the electrical connection from the handbrake switch.

•     Op. 1076B30 FRONT EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R
•     Op. 1076B24 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

• Disconnect the handbrake cables from the bracket.

• Place a hydraulic jack under the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers.
• Undo the bolts (2a) and the nuts (2b) fastening the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers.
• Keep the plates.
• Lower the hydraulic jack as necessary and remove the exhaust pipe side heat shields.

• Completely lower the hydraulic jack and remove the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers.

• At the bench, undo the nuts (1a) and remove the lever mounting (1b).

• Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the handbrake lever assembly (1b).

Refitting ( Removing )

• Place the handbrake lever assembly on the mounting and secure it using the bolts.
• Place the lever mounting back in its housing and fasten it using the nuts.
• Place the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers back in position using a hydraulic jack.
• Place the exhaust pipe side heat shields back in their housings.
• Tighten the bolts and the nuts complete with plates fastening the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers.
• Remove the hydraulic jack from underneath the mounting for the handbrake and electro-hydraulic selection gearbox control levers.
• Connect the handbrake cables to the bracket.
•     Op. 1076B24 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R
•     Op. 1076B30 FRONT EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R
• Connect the electrical connection to the handbrake switch.
•     Op. 3380A04 HANDBRAKE - CHECK TRAVEL
• Place the handbrake boot back in its housing.
•     Op. 2127A12 HAND LEVER OF MANUAL GEARBOX WITH HYDRAULIC SELECTION - R R
•     Op. 7040L37 GEAR LEVER PLATE - R R
•     Op. 7065C42 ASHTRAY (ONE) R+R
• Place the trim in its housing on the tunnel cover.
• Connect the negative battery terminal (-).
• Remove the vehicle from the lift.
