Before working on the Air Bag system, follow the safety instructions for working on the system very carefully (See 5580C - Air Bag System - Precautions).

Op. 4110A11 STEERING WHEEL - R+R FOR REPLACEMENT OR CHECK FOR VERSIONS WITH AIR BAG Op. 7040A26 STEERING COLUMN TRIM - R+R1. Loosen the band fixing the steering column switch unit.2. Move the steering column switch unit slightly and disconnect the electrical connections (2a, 2b, 2c).

3. Recover the stalk unit with the clock spring

If necessary, Op. 5580C12 CLOCK SPRING FOR AIR BAG MODULE ON STEERING WHEEL R R

Closely observe the safety regulations established for this operation.

Refitting ( Removing

) Check that the steering column switch unit is not damaged and, if necessary, conduct an electrical test on it.Check that the wheels are straight (not steered)If the clock spring is removed, Op. 5580C12 CLOCK SPRING FOR AIR BAG MODULE ON STEERING WHEEL R RConnect the electrical connections .Refit the stalk unit with clock springTighten the band fixing the steering column switch unit.
