The Selespeed gearbox oil level should be checked with the vehicle on a flat surface and the engine switched off and cold.

Turn the ignition key to the ON position.1. Disconnect the breather pipe (1a), remove the cap (1b) and check that the level corresponds to the MAX reference on the dipstick which is part of the actual cap.

The dipstick which is part of the cap has a MAX level on one side for a temperature of 20°C and a MAX level on the other side for a temperature of 90°C.

If the level is below the MAX mark, add the recommended fluid until the level is correct.

The table shows the total quantity of oil present in the Selespeed system.

Retighten the cap and fully insert the breather pipe in the cap.Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

Do not add oil which has different specifications from the oil already contained in the gearbox.

Work very carefully in the engine compartment when the engine is hot: danger of burns. Remember that if the engine is very hot then the fan may start working: danger of injury.
