Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on a lift.Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal (-).

1. Fit the flywheel lock.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) (left hand thread) and remove the toothed drive pulley (1b).
1. Using an ordinary tool (1a), undo the cartridge engine oil filter (1b) and remove it.
Collect the engine oil that comes out in a suitable container.
1. Unscrew the fitting fastening the engine oil heat exchanger to the crankshaft front oil seal cover.
Drain the air conditioning refrigerant circuit    Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DEHYDRATE AND RECHARGE.Proceed with the removal    Op. 5040A20 AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR - R+R - INCLUDES FLUID LEVEL CHECK AND TOP UP IF NECESSARY.Proceed with the removal    Op. 5040A26 COMPRESSOR MOUNT - R R.Proceed with the removal    Op. 1076A48 CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHIELD - R R.Proceed with the removal    Op. 1080B62 CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R + R.Proceed with the removal    Op. 1020A20 CRANK CASE OIL SUMP - R + R CLEAN SEALS FOR SEALANT APPLICATION.Proceed with the removal    Op. 7055B64 LH OR RH REFLECTOR(ONE) ON REAR BUMPERS - R R.Proceed with the removal    Op. 7055B42 LH OR RH REFLECTOR(ONE) ON REAR BUMPERS - R R.Proceed with the removal    Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER.1. Fit the tool to support the power unit in safety on the crankcase in the position shown in the figure.

1. Fit a bracket to support the power unit safely on the intake manifold.
1. Fit the tool (1a) complete with mountings (1b).

2. Fit tool (2a) and connect to the brackets fitted previously using links (2b).

1. Undo the bolts (1a), (1b) and remove the timing side rigid engine support (1c).
1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove the crankshaft oil seal front cover (1b) complete with oil seal (1c), gasket (1d) and intake duct (1e).
Prise up and release the oil seal from the crankshaft oil seal front cover.
Take care not to damage the oil seal seat during its removal.
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Refit the crankshaft oil seal front cover (1a) complete with engine oil intake duct (1b), new gasket (1c) and secure by tightening bolts (1d) to the specified torque.

1. Fit a new crankshaft front oil seal (1a) using the tool (1b).
