The engine oil is harmful to skin: keep contact with skin to a minimum and if there is contact wash with soap and water.

Position the vehicle on a lift.1. Remove the filler cap with the engine hot.2. Release the engine oil dipstick.

Proceed with the removal Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R.1. Undo the drain plug in the crankcase sump and leave the oil to drain into a suitable container.

Be very careful when removing the drain plug, the oil could be very hot.

Do not let the oil disperse into the atmosphere as this could cause pollution.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and remove the lower bracket (1b) supporting the engine oil/power assisted steering pipes.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the lower bracket (1b) supporting the power assisted steering pipes.2. Undo and remove the cartridge engine oil filter using a suitable tool.

Collect the engine oil that comes out in a suitable container.

Clean the drain plug and tighten the gasket to the recommended torque.

Lubricate the new oil filter seal with engine oil and tighten it fully by hand.Place the power assisted steering pipes lower mounting bracket in its housing and secure it using the bolt.Place the engine oil/power assisted steering pipes lower mounting bracket in its housing and secure it using the nut.Proceed with the refitting Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R.Refill the engine lubrication circuit with the recommended oil.

The table shows the quantity for periodic replacement.

During the engine oil refilling operations, take great care to avoid letting the oil accidentally drop into the alternator ventilation slits which would damage it and create a fire risk.

Check that the engine oil level is correct using the dipstick.

The oil level is checked with the vehicle on a flat surface. If the level of the oil is above the MAX reference this can cause excessive evaporation of the actual oil and a loss of pressure.

Fit the filler cap, let the engine idle for about 2 minutes, switch off the engine and then wait for several minutes.Check the oil level and make sure there are no leaks.Remove the vehicle from the lift.
