) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Ensure that the ignition key is in the OFF postition, then disconnect the battery negative terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the right Lambda sensor and release the wiring from the bands.

2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the left Lambda sensor and release the wiring from the fastenings.

Proceed with the removal Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD ON BULKHEAD - R+R.1. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic pre-converter, manifold side.2. Undo the bolt fixing the catalytic pre-converter, crankcase mounting bracket side.3. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic pre-converter, catalytic converter side.4. Undo the bolt fixing the catalytic pre-converter flexible mounting, front suspension crossmember side.5. Remove the catalytic preconverter complete with Lambda sensors.Remove the gaskets.

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Place the catalytic pre-converter, complete with Lambda sensors and gaskets, back in its housing.2. Tighten the bolt fixing the catalytic pre-converter flexible mounting, front suspension crossmember side.3. Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic pre-converter, catalytic converter side, to the recommended torque.

3	Nut	CATALYTIC PRE-CONVERTER	M8	(Catalytic converter side) 2.7 ÷ 3.3

4. Tighten the bolt fixing the catalytic pre-converter, crankcase mounting bracket side.5. Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic pre-converter, manifold side, to the recommended torque.

Proceed with the refitting Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD ON BULKHEAD - R+R.Connect the electrical connections for the Lambda sensors and fix the electrical wiring.Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Remove the car from the ramp.
