125002286 - E3070 CIGAR LIGHTER / CURRENT SOCKET - DESCRIPTION
Description
The front ashtray is lit up when the side lights are on; it houses a standard current socket; the ring nut on the current socket is lit with the side lights on. The cigar lighter resistor is located in the socket, but it can be used for connection to other instruments or equipment (provided they operate at 12 V).To operate the cigar lighter, simply press the knob: after a few seconds it pops out automatically, ready for use.A second additional current socket is available on request in the luggage compartment on the left hand side, the same type as the previous ones. The power sockets all have a heat protection device: if devices with high energy absorption are connected, this protection cuts off the supply. The Body Computer manages the lighting up of the ashtray/cigar ligher when the side lights are on See E2530 INSTRUMENT LIGHTING, whilst the rear socket is not lit up.The current socket circuit is protected by a special fuse and is operated by the relay which is excluded when the ignition is switched on and is located in the junction unit. The power socket operates when the ignition is on (INT/A).
