Removing ( Refitting )
If the submerged pump assembly complete with levle gauge is being scrapped, the fuel must always be drained following the instructions described below:- whilst extracting the submerged pump assembly draw off the fuel in the chamger using an (electric or manual) pump in line;- completely extract the submerged pump assembly and, working on a special workbench, connect an (electrical or manual) in line pump to the connector;- activate the pump for the time required to collect most of the fuel inside the filter.

  • Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the battery terminal (-).

  • Undo the bolts (1a) and move the access cover (1b) for the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge sideways.
1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and the nuts (2b) and remove the reinforcement plate (2c).3. Disconnect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe from the submereged pump assembly complete with level gauge.
1. Undo the ring nut (1a) securing the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge using the tool (1b).

2. Remove the submerged fuel assembly complete with level gauge control.

  • Remove the O-ring.
Refitting ( Removing )

  • Place the O-Ring seal in the housing on the fuel tank collar and make sure that it is correctly positioned.
1. Position the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge control in its housing.
Fit the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge ensuring that the arrow is in line with the arrow on the tank.
2. Tighten the ring nut (2a) securing the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge using the tool (2b).
