2399397 - E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR - Description

Description

The car is equipped with numerous self-diagnostic electronic control units. When a tester (Examiner or other instrument) is connected to the control units, self-diagnostic data can be read (parameters, errors) or active testing can be carried out. All tester lines are connected to the EOBD (European On Board Diagnosis) connector in line with EC directive 98/69 - ISO standard J1962, centralised on the Body Computer - connector C of M1.The same connector carries out diagnostics on the nodes (control units) connected to the low transmission speed B-CAN network, while the high transmission speed C-CAN network dynamic power control network is diagnosed via a specific K line.

The following are controlled via the B-CAN network:

  • underdashboard control unit;
  • instrument panel;
  • door control units;
  • radio controls on the steering wheel;
  • radio assembly;
  • climate control system control unit;
  • Air Bag control unit;
  • parking sensors control unit;
For more details  See E1050  CAN CONNECTION LINES

The following are controlled directly via the individual K diagnostic lines:

  • engine management unit
  • ABS control unit;
  • electric steering control unit.
