) Position the vehicle on the ramp1. Trace the cutting line to the specified dimension on the exhaust pipe.

1. Undo bolt (1a) securing exhaust pipe support rear bracket (1b). 2. Undo bolt (2a) securing exhaust pipe mount front bracket (2b).

1. Undo the nuts fixing the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter to the exhaust pipe. Secure the central exhaust pipe to the bodyshell.

1. Using a suitable tool, cut the exhaust pipe on the line previously drawn.

1. Remove the rear exhaust silencer (1a) after releasing it from the rear flexible mounting blocks (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) Using a file, remove the burrs on the cut end of the rear exhaust silencer.Place the rear exhaust silencer back in its housing and fix it to the flexible mountings.1. Join the rear exhaust silencer to the central exhaust silencer using the metal band supplied by Parts with the rear exhaust pipe. 2. Tighten the nut on the metal band.

1. Tighten the nuts fixing the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter to the exhaust silencer to the recommended torque.

Tighten the bolt fixing the exhaust pipe front mounting bracket. Tighten the exhaust pipe support front bracket securing bolt.Remove the car from the ramps.
