2400640 - 5580C86 side bag wiring harness (one) lh or rh - r r or replace

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY RULES (see 5580C - Precautions).
Removing ( Refitting )  - 7045A10  l/h or r/h front seat (one) - r+r - 7045A43  seat exterior guard - r r - 7045A19  BACKREST - CENTRE SECTION - front seat (one, left or right - R.R .1. Disengage the retainer (1a) and rotate the connector mounting (1b).2. Disconnect the side bag connector (2a) from the mounting (1b).3. Cut the Air Bag cable retaining bands.
1. Undo the Velcro on the outer side of the seat.2. Disengage the locking profile (2a) from the section (2b).
1. Slightly move the padding (1a) and disconnect the Air Bag electrical connection (1b).2. Disconnect the electrical earth connection.3. Move the cable mounting (3a), releasing the retainer (3b) and disconnecting it from the pin (3c).4. Recover the wiring loom complete with mounting.
Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the wiring is intact and shows no signs of damage.If new wiring is being fitted, attach the labels as described below.1. Detach the removable part (1b) of the adhesive label from the new wiring (1a). Place a copy of the label (1b) in a specific file containing the vehicle details (model, registration data, chassis number) and the serial number of the old backrest cover. This file should be kept for future checks. 2. Apply the original label (1b) to the bottom of the seat, where there are already the equivalent labels for seat, side Air Bag module and backrest cover.
Position the wiring on the frame and secure it using the retaining bands.
In order to prevent any possibility of the wiring being trapped, position it very carefully along the same route as the wiring which has been removed.
Position the cable mounting and engage the retainer and pin.Connect the electrical earth connection to the frame.Connect the electrical connection to the Air Bag module.Engage the profiles.Do up the Velcro.Fit the connector on the connector mounting bracket.Rotate the connector mounting bracket in its seating and engage the retainer. - 7045A19  BACKREST - CENTRE SECTION - front seat (one, left or right - R.R . - 7045A43  seat exterior guard - r r - 7045A10  l/h or r/h front seat (one) - r+rMove the seat through all its various settings to ensure that movements take place without binding or noise. Check the operation of the system using the Examiner.
