2401124 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - Functional description

Functional description

The turn signal activation (earth) signals are sent to pins 7 of connector I and 30 of connector G of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5. The hazard warning lights activation signal, on the other hand, reaches pin 34 of connector G of M1 from the control button in the climate control system controls H80 (or M70). The direct supply for the climate control system H80 controls (or M70) arrives via the line of fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; pin 7 of connector A is earthed (earth controlled by the Body Computer M1). The Body Computer M1 receives a specific direct supply for the hazard warning lights via fuse line F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; as a result, it controls the side direction indicators F20 (left) and F21 (rght) from pins 2 and 13 of connector D, the front side lights F10 (left) F11 (right) from pins 38 and 39 of connector B and for the rear side lights F30 (left) F31 (right) from pins 12 and 3 of connector D. The (positive) signal is sent, from pin 29 of connector G of M1, to light up the LED in the climate control system controls button H80 (or M70). The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50, to manage the 'direction indicators' warning light, the buzzer and, if there are failures in the circuit, the 'lights failure' warning light.
