Functional description

The boot open switch I11 sends an earth signal, when the boot is open, to pin 36 of connector E of M1 and directly to the courtesy light G40.
the contact in question signals the boot open condition; the switch is fitted with another contact which signals the boot not completely closed conditions, this contact is used for the boot locking function.  See E3045  BOOT AND FUEL FLAP OPENING
On the basis of the SBMT logic described previously, the boot courtesy light G40 is supplied by the Body Computer M1 from pin 23 of connector E through the direct line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2. The Body Computer M1 is connected to the instrument panel E50 via the CAN line; it sends a signal which, when necessary, lights up the doors or boot open warning light and, at the same time, this information is shown in the display.
