2401151 - E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Functional description

Functional description

The dipped headlamps activation and AUTO function (earth) signal is sent to pin 2 of connector I of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5. See E2011  DIPPED HEADLAMPS . The Body Computer M1 controls the supply of the dipped headlamps sending an earth signal to the underdashboard control unit B2 - from pin 8 of connector F of M1 - which energizes the relay T1: this supplies pin 1 for the dipped headlamps F10 (left) and F11 (right). at the same time, the enablement for the adjustment motors is provided - pin 7 for the (left) headlamp F10 and F11 (right); Each circuit is protected by a junction unit B2 fuse F13 for the left headlamp and F12 for the right one. The headlamp adjustment control, located in the control unit to the left of the steering wheel H91, sends a modulated control signal, each time the '+' or '-' buttons is pressed, to the instrument panel E50, pin 14 of connector B. The internal logic for E50 manages the function, sending the actual control signal to the motors from pin 7 of connector A, whilst the enablement signal reaches pin 8 (dipped headlamps on). These control signal 'pass through' the junction unit under the dashboard - pin 1 of connector A of B2 and activate the motors - pin 6 for the (left) headlamp F10 and F11 (right).
