Before removing and refitting the Air Bag module, the following preliminary operations must be carried out. Place the ignition key in the OFF position and extract it;Disconnect the battery leads and insulate.Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.
FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY RULES (see 5580C - Precautions).
Removing ( Refitting )  - 7045A43  seat exterior guard - r r - 7045A19  BACKREST - CENTRE SECTION - front seat (one, left or right - R.R .1. Undo the Velcro on the outer side of the seat.2. Disengage the locking profile (2a) from the section (2b).3. Undo the Air Bag module nuts.
1. Slightly move the padding (1a) and disconnect the electrical connection (1b).2. Remove the Air Bag module.
Place the Air Bag module in the special cupboard, resting it on a free surface with the bag facing upwards. Refitting ( Removing ) Observe the following precaution.
Handle the Air Bag module with extreme caution. Ensure the battery is disconnected.
If a new module is being fitted, attach the labels as described below.1. Detach the removable part (1b) of the adhesive label from the new module (1a). Place a copy of the label (1b) in a specific file containing the vehicle details (model, registration data, chassis number) and the serial number of the old module. This file should be kept for future checks. 2. Apply the detachable part of the original label (1b) to the bottom of the seat, where there are already similar labels for the seat, squab cover and Air Bag wiring. However, it should first be perforated to indicate the month and 14 years after the year when the module is fitted (e.g. 2017 will correspond to 2003).
Position the airbag module connecting the electrical connection.Tighten the retaining nuts.

Engage the profiles.Do up the Velcro. - 7045A19  BACKREST - CENTRE SECTION - front seat (one, left or right - R.R . - 7045A43  seat exterior guard - r rMove the seat through all its various settings to ensure that movements take place without binding or noise. Using the Examiner, check that the system has not picked up errors during the operation.
