2398877 - L10 CLIMATE CONTROL NOT COOLING

The fan works properly and sends air into the interior compartment in accordance with set flow patterns, but this air remains at the external temperature and is not cooled.
Cooling circuit activation enablement is controlled by the climate control and engine management control units. So if the air conditioning does not cool under particular conditions, this is correct.
Results of the tests
0PRELIMINARY CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation
Connect the climate control system to the repressurizing equipment and check the system pressure See Test   5040B  CHECK ON OPERATION OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM (PRESSURES) Continue to Step 1Pressure not correctEliminate leaks and top up climate control system
1CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems metOperation
Connect the Examiner and check for errors in the climate control system node at the air mixing motors:Continue to Step 3Error in air mixing motorsContinue to Step 2
2ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation
Check continuity/insulation of the electrical connection for the air mixing motor(s)Continue to Step 8Electrical conection broken or not insulated.Restore continuity/insulation of electrical connection See   E6021  COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENT
3CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems metOperation

Keep the Examiner connected and check:

  • that there are no errors in the engine management node
  • in active diagnostics mode, check compressor activation relay is working properly via active diagnosis. Ensure that the compressor electromagnetic coupling comes on at the same time.
  • the correct operation of the solar sensor See Test   5040DC  Check on operation of solar sensor
Continue to Step 6The relay is not activated and the coupling is not activated.Continue to Step 4
The relay is activated but the coupling is not activated.Continue to Step 5
Solar sensor defectiveReplace the sensor
