Description
The trip computer on the instrument panel displays the following
information:General Trip:
- Distance travelled [Km] or [mi]
- Instant fuel consumption [l/100km] or [mpg]
- Average consumption [l/100km] or [mpg]
- Range [Km] or [mi]
- Average speed [km/h] or [mph]
- Journey time [hh:mm]
Trip B (partial):
- Journey distance B Km or mi
- Average consumption B l/100 km or mpg
- Average speed B km/h or mph
- Journey time B hh:mm
The values (B) are calculated from the last
resest (pressing the SET button on the stalk unit right lever) or
automatically after a stop of 2 h with the ignition off. | When the calculated range value
is equal to that of the fuel reserve, the display shows a 'Limited
Range' message and a buzzer sounds. |
The control panel to the left of
the steering wheel in the dashboard contains the buttons for the
set up and for switching from one TRIP set of measurements to another:
- the 'Mode' button confirms the settings (pressed briefly);
memorizing the settings and returning to the standard screen (pressed
for longer).
- the '+' and '-' buttons select, set and adjust the functions
in the menu
There is also the possibility of showing
that the speed limit has been exceeded on the instrument panel.
This option can be activated/deactivated using the special setup
in the instrument panel. If activated, the instrument panel receives
the vehicle speed figure from the network and compares it with the
level set; if the current speed exceeds the level set, the instrument panel
warns the driver by means of the buzzer.

Characteristic of working principle 5560 INSTRUMENT PANELThe Trip Computer data are calculated within
the instrument panel.
The instrument panel is a node on the CAN
network through which it exchanges information with the Body Computer
and the other electronic units.
See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANELThis diagram shows the operation of those
functions relating to the instrument panel which also affect the
Trip Computer.
