2400745 - 7015A14 tailgate - adjust centring and profile - includes hinge and compartment seal adaptation

Lift the tailgate.1. If necessary, adjust the buffer blocks.If necessary, adjust the position of the lock striker as described below. Refer to op.. 7040B22  luggage compartment/load platform moulding - r+r . 2. Loosen the bolts fixing the tailgate lock striker.3. Adjust the position of the striker, making use of the slotted openings. Permitted adjustment movements are indicated by arrows. 4. Tighten the fixing bolts.

 Refer to op.. 7040B22  luggage compartment/load platform moulding - r+r . If the adjustments described above are insufficient, adjust the tailgate hinge position as described below. 1. Loosen the bolts securing the tailgate to the hinges and adjust the tailgate position, making use of the slots in the hinges.

The arrows indicate possible movements.

2. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

If necessary, adjust the position of the lock striker (  Refer to op.. 7040B22  luggage compartment/load platform moulding - r+r ). If even this adjustment is insufficient, adjust the tailgate hinge position as described below.  Refer to op.. 7040H66  LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R . Refer to op.. 7040H67  RIGHT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R .1. Use the special tool and remove the rear left trim (1a), disengaging the inner retainers (1b).

2. Lower the trim (1a), sliding it along the seat belt (2a). 1. Disengage the central rear seat belt terminals (1b) from their seating (1a).2. Undo the bolts.3. Remove the trim (3a), disengaging it from the terminals (1b). 1. Working on the rear of the ceiling trim, disengage the retaining buttons using the special tool.

1. Working through the central rear seat belt compartment, loosen the bolt (1a) on the right hinge (1b). 2. Slightly lower the rear left edge (2a) of the ceiling trim, then undo the bolt (2b) of the left hinge (2c). 3. Adjust the tailgate position, making use of the slots in the hinges.

4. Tighten the hinge retaining bolts to the specified torque.

If necessary, renew the sealant between the bodyshell and hinges. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock striker (  Refer to op.. 7040B22  luggage compartment/load platform moulding - r+r ). Working on the rear of the ceiling trim, engage the retaining buttons.Position the seat belt trim in its seating, after engaging it in the seat belt terminals.Tighten the bolts.Engage the central rear seat belt terminals in their seating.Refit the left side rear trim in its seating and engage the inner retainers. Refer to op.. 7040H66  LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R . Refer to op.. 7040H67  RIGHT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R .
