Functional description
The Body Computer M1 receives door open input signals at pin 8 of connector D (driver side front door) and pin 16 of connector D (left rear door), pin 25 of connector E (front passenger door), pin 26 of connector E (right rear door) and, lastly, pin 36 of connector E (boot). According to the SBMT control logic described previously, both the front courtesy light G10 and the rear courtesy lights G25 and G26 are supplied by the Body Computer M1 from pin 33 of connector E through the direct line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 . The front courtesy light G10 is also controlled by the Body Computer M1 with a timed earth signal from pin 21 of connector E.The Body Computer M1 is connected to the instrument panel E50 via the CAN line:
- from the latter it receives the 'inertia switch operated' signal and this information is shown on the display and lights up the general failure warning light.
- a signal is sent, when necessary, which lights up the doors open warning light and, at the same time, the information is shown on the display.
