Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Open the access flap to the fuel filler pipe cap.2. Release the fuel filler pipe cap safety device from the bodyshell.3. Undo and remove the fuel filler pipe cap. .

If the fuel filler pipe cap is being replaced, keep the barrel following the instructions given below.

It is not possible to order a single lock barrel or to order barrels simply by using a part code. When ordering barrels, observe the special procedure set out in 5580E - Special accessories.

1. Release the body of plug (1a) from retainers (1b).2. Break tab (2a) and remove clip (2b) retaining barrel (2c).3. Inset the vehicle key (3a) in the barrel (3c) and extract the actual barrel. Refitting ( Removing ) .

If a new fuel filler pipe cap is being used, follow the instructions given below.

1. Insert the vehicle key (1a) in the barrel (1b). Insert the lock barrel (1b), ensuring the (1c) engages in the internal retaining clip.Check the cap and lock are working properly. Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing.Fasten the fuel filler pipe cap safety device to the bodyshell.Clean the fuel filler cap access flap.
