Functional description

The Cruise Control function is controlled by engine management unit M10 upon a command from the Cruise Control switch H7 located to the left of the steering wheel. Control H7 is ignition-operated (INT/A) from a line protected by fuse F5 in junction unit B1 .

Control H7 is connected to management unit M10:

  • to pin 24 of connector D, with 'OFF' signal
  • to pin 22 of connector D, with 'RECALL' signal
  • to pin 20 of connector D, with 'SET+' signal
  • to pin 21 of connector D, with 'SET-' signal
Pin 23 of connector D of M10 receives a signal from the second contact of brake light switch I30 , ignition-operated (INT/A) through a line protected by fuse F1 in junction unit B1 . For management of the Cruise Control function, the control unit also uses a signal from pin 19 of connector D of M10 from clutch pedal switch I31 and signals from accelerator pedal potentiometer K55 connected to pins 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 of connector C of M10 (  See E5030  PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT ). Engine management unit M10 , sends a signal - pin 10 of connector E to instrument E50 - pin 12 of connector A - which turns on the CRUISE warning light when the system is working.
