When reverse gear is engaged, the switch
closes and sends the supply to the reversing lights in the central
rear lights clusters: left
F35 and right F36, through the junction
unit B1 (pin 7 connector I and pins 6 and 7 connector G).
When reverse gear is engaged, a signal is
also sent to the interior electrochromic rearview mirror
P65
.

Functional description
Its operation is the same as on a manual
gearbox, but the reverse gear engaged signal arrives from one of
the sensors of the electronic auto transmission sensor assembly
(junction

).
