3315608 - E3032 DOOR MIRROR ADJUSTMENT - Functional description (Right hand drive)
Functional description
The two-way switch controlling mirrors
H31
operates electric motors located in the right and left electrically-operated
door mirrors
P60
and
P61
respectively.
The switch is supplied when the ignition
is turned on (INT/A) from fuse line
F5
of junction unit
B1
to pins 1 and 4 of
H31
, while pin 2 is earthed.
The mirror is adjusted by operating the
switch in one or other directions. Positive and earth signals are
then sent to one of the two motors to determine the direction of
rotation. The motors that govern vertical position are connected
to pins 2 of connector A of mirrors
P60
and
P61
.
The motors that govern horizontal position are connected to pins
3 of the same connectors. According to the selector position, either
the left motors (output signals from pins 8 and 9 of control
H31
)
or the right motors (output signals from pins 7 and 10 of
H31
)
are connected; the common supply comes from pin 3 and is connected
to pin 1 of connector A of
P60
or
P61
.
The mirrors are folded down by operating
mirror control switch
H31
: pins 1 and 2 of connector D of
P60
and
P61
. they are connected respectively to pins 11 and
5, and pins 12 and 6 of mirror control
H31
.
Switch
H31
is lit by ignition-operated
power source (INT/A) from the line of fuse
F5
of junction
unit
B1
.
The electrochromatic interior rear view
mirror
P65
contains an electronic device that controls the
mirror's automatic antiglare function. Device
P65
is supplied
by ignition-operated line (INT/A) of relay
R1
protected
by fuse
F9
.
When a reverse engagement signal (
See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS
)
is received, the antiglare function is disabled.
