3315504 - Introduction - EXTERIOR LIGHTING

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle exterior lighting system has been designed with two aims in mind:

  • ensuring maximum efficiency in terms of complying with international regulations which define the illumination specifications of the various components
  • integration with the design of the vehicle so that the various components reflect the image.

Front light clusters

The front light cluster includes the separate functions of the dipped headlamp, main beam headlamp, side light and direction indicator in a single piece. An electrical device allows the height adjustment of the light beam. The switch in the passenger compartment controls the actuators on the light clusters with four different settings which depend on the vehicle load.As an option, the front light clusters can be fitted with xenon dipped headlamps with a dynamic alignment control system (for further details, see the specific paragraph).

Rear light clusters

The rear light cluster reflectors are made from a metallic plastic material and are designed for maximum light efficiency.

The rear light clusters are divided into two distinct components:

  • the outer part (fitted on the bodyshell) with the side light/brake light and direction indicator (consisting of four LEDs integrated in the light cluster)
  • the inner part (fitted on the boot lid) with the rear fog lamp, reversing light and side light.
