) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Proceed with the removal - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Proceed with the removal - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with the removal - 1076A46 heat shield for catalytic preconverter r r . 1. Undo the upper nut securing the catalytic preconverter to the exhaust manifold.

Proceed with the removal - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . 1. Unscrew the right Lambda sensor from the catalytic preconverter and secure to one side.

1. Unscrew the left Lambda sensor from the catalytic preconverter and secure to one side.

1. Undo nuts (1a) and remove stiffening bracket (1b).

1. Unscrew the bolts securing the catalytic preconverter to the catalytic converter

1. Unscrew the bolts securing the catalytic preconverter to the crankcase.2. Loosen the bolt securing the catalytic pre-converter to the mounting bracket.

1. Position a hydraulic jack under the catalytic preconverter.2. Undo the nuts (2a) and remove the catalytic preconverter (2b), complete with gaskets.

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Place the catalytic preconverter (1a) complete with gaskets back in its housing using hydraulic jack (1b).2. Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic pre-converter to the exhaust manifold to the recommended torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack from under the catalytic preconverter.

Tighten the bolt fixing the catalytic pre-converter to the mounting bracket.Tighten the bolts securing the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket to the crankcase.1. Tighten the bolts fixing the catalytic pre-converter to the catalytic converter to the recommended torque.

Refit the stiffening bracket in its seating and tighten the nuts.1. Place the left Lambda sensor back in its housing on the catalytic preconverter and tighten it to the recommended torque.

1. Place the right Lambda sensor back in its housing on the catalytic preconverter and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Proceed with the refitting - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . 1. Tighten the upper nut fixing the catalytic pre-converter to the exhaust manifold to the recommended torque.

Proceed with the refitting - 1076A46 heat shield for catalytic preconverter r r . Proceed with the refitting - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with the removal - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Remove the car from the ramp.
