3315545 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - Functional description
Functional description
The direction indicators and hazard warning lights are controlled by an electronic intermittence device R2 located in junction unit B1 . The supply for the device reaches pin 6 directly from the battery (MAXIFUSE CENTR of B5 ) via fuse F8 of junction unit B1 ; Pin 2 is earthed.TURN SIGNALS:
- The turn signals are activated by stalk unit H5 .
- The latter, on pin 4 - connector B, receives an ignition-controlled supply (INT/A) via fuse F1 of the junction unit B1 ; by operating the lever in both directions a signal is sent to pin 7 (left side arrows) and pin 1 (right side arrows) of device R2 of B1 .
HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS:
- Hazard warning light operation is controlled by a switch located in unit H35 , which, when pressed, sends the earth signal to pin 3 of device R2 of B1 .
- Pin 2 of H35 is operated when the ignition is turned on (INT/A) via fuse F5 of B1 to light up the control unit H35 .
- When pin 3 of device R2 of B1 is earthed, the latter supplies all the turn signals simultaneously through pins 4 and 5.
- Pin 4 of the turn signals unit M83 supplies the hazard warning light switch on H35 with greater light intensity.
- All the hazard warning lights are also operated by the alarm system control unit M30 (pins 1 and 2 of connector B) that is connected directly to the lighting power supply ( See E7015 ALARM )
