3315564 - E2031 REAR FOG LAMPS - Functional description (Right hand drive)
Functional description
The rear fog lamps are controlled by electronic
Check device
M45
, that receives control signals from the
switches and supplies the bulbs while also checking the various
lines.
The supply for Check device
M45
arrives directly from the battery (MAXIFUSE CENTR of
B5
)
at pins 1 and 6 of connector C, via fuse
F11
of junction
unit
B1
.
The supply controlled by the ignition (INT/A)
arrives via fuse
F1
of junction unit
B1
at pin 9
of connector C; pin 7 of connector C is earthed
C21.
The supply for the rear fog lamps in modules
F35
and
F36
is supplied by the control unit
M45
when,
with the control switch
H35
closed, the outside lights control
H6
has the side lights switch closed (pin 4 and pin 6);
pins 4, 5 and 10 of control unit
M45
have the same signal.
At the same time, a signal is sent from
pin 3 of connector B to the unit
H35
to light up the LED
near the button indicating the 'rear fog lamps on' function.
This LED of
H35
is operated when
the ignition is turned on (INT/A) via fuse
F5
of junction
unit
B1
; this line is responsible for lighting up control
unit
H35
when the ignition is on.
The device
M45
checks the efficiency
of the bulbs and their connections: if faults are detected in the
circuit, the 'lights fault' warning light on the instrument panel
E50
,
pin 7 of connector C, is lit from pin 6 of connector A. Pin 15
of connector A supplies an ignition-operated power supply to the
panel through fuse
F1
of the junction unit
B1
.
The control unit
M45
is also connected,
via pin 6 connector A, to the diagnostic multiple connector (see
E8010).
